About Assessment Management Services
These programs and services facilitate the use of data as a tool for continuous improvement. Institute staff members work with educators to develop structures for the collection and analysis of data through a variety of methods. The staff also works with both administrators and classroom teachers to use data to inform teaching and learning for all stakeholders.
Classroom Walkthrough Training
Institute staff members are certified by Teachscape (formerly Learning 24/7) to provide classroom walkthrough training to administrators and teacher-leaders. This intensive program features a practical, expedient, and illuminating way to collect information about teaching and learning.
Data-Driven Decision Making
The institute staff is certified by the Center for Performance Assessment to provide both training programs and coaching services around the identification, collection, and analysis of data.
Common Formative Assessments
At the heart of any data-driven approach is the alignment between assessments and key learning outcomes. Institute staff provide on-site support for the development of high quality common formative assessments that allow collaboration to target important learning to support increased student achievement. Institute staff facilitate the Common Formative Assessment Consortium for the Capitol Region, which will allow districts to share high quality, standards-focused common assessments, and collaborate across district lines to improve learning for students.
