The mission of The Capital Region Professional Development Collaborative on Adult Literacy is to:

• Build and sustain a solid collaboration of adult literacy practitioners and programs in the Capital region
• Provide and support adult literacy staff through increased, diverse, and high quality professional development opportunities that are both information-driven and participatory in approach
• Improve the learning opportunities and outcomes of adult students in the Capital region

Create and sustain a permanent infrastructure for adult literacy professional development in the Capital region.

• Guide participants to identify and implement best practices in adult literacy education
• Offer training on key topics of interest regarding best practices in adult literacy education.
• Build on the expertise of participants by developing study circles, on-line communities, and other forms of shared learning.

Open to all groups, agencies and individuals interested in adult literacy related services in the Capital Region.
