Student projects:
Sophomore students research and explore jobs; approximately 60 students are able to shadow within different types of job settings. Career and Technical Education students also take group field trips; this past year students visited: Bob's Corporation Headquarters, Pratt & Whitney, UCONN, and an architecture firm.

Student projects: Students build CO2 race cars with a CO2 cartridge in the back; they use basic principles of physics to calculate speed, instantaneous velocity, etc. They also build and test earthquake resistant towers. In Introduction to Technology, students have the freedom to create their own projects such as a Playstation 2 holder, a bathroom scrubber, a lacrosse shaft, flavored straws, and thirst quenching candy; students then develop a marketing strategy to advertise their project.
