Eligibility

To be eligible for the Capitol Region Choice Program, students must be residents of Hartford and attend a public school (K-12) in Hartford.  Suburban students must live in and attend school in one of the other participating districts.  Students enrolled in private or other non-public schools are not eligible for this program.

Eligible siblings are given priority when placements are made and, where possible, placed in the same district.

Enrollments are offered by school districts on a space-available basis by grade, and random lotteries are used to place students when applicants exceed the number of placements available.
