New Transportation Contract for the Choice Program
2008-2009 School Year

CREC has put out a Request for Proposal for the 2008-2009 school year.  This will affect the majority of the Choice Program’s transportation services.  The new contract will provide for more student safety and accountability of the bus company. 

All buses under this contract will be equipped with video cameras and GPS systems.  The video camera system will allow CREC to monitor student behavior and safety.  The Global Positioning Systems (GPS) will allow CREC to confirm if a bus went to a stop and at what time.  CREC has purchased a new routing software program, which will help create more efficient routes and minimize student ride time.  These new tools will allow CREC Transportation to continue our tradition of providing quality transportation for the Choice Program.
