Choice Program Welcomes New Staff

In order to increase the support available to districts, the Choice program has hired two new intervention specialists. Rudy Thomas and Janette Hernandez are the latest additions to our team. Rudy Thomas hails from Bloomfield and comes to us from the Hartford Public Schools. He has worked with youth in various capacities for over 18 years.

Janette Hernandez also comes to us from the Hartford Board of Education. Her previous responsibilities included the execution of advanced case management services, assessment, case planning and referral, and advocacy on behalf of migrant families. Janette also brings experience in mental heath through her work at Wheeler Clinic.

Nelba L. Márquez-Greene, former intervention specialist has reduced her hours in order to accommodate her growing mental health private practice. During her 10 hours per week at Choice she will coordinate professional development trainings and work on special projects. Please e-mail Nelba with all professional development requests.
