As director of the CREC Construction Division, John Mena provides management oversight of construction contracts and coordination of operations. CREC is working on a variety of substantial projects, running simultaneously, with a current value of more than $570 million in project costs. His efforts, and those of the committee, resulted in a massive build-out of state-of-the-art facilities, allowing hundreds of Hartford students, faculty and staff the space that they need for education and recreation.
John brings more than 10 years of project management experience to his new role. He has been responsible for facilitating more than $800 million worth of building projects, consisting of individual assignments ranging in costs from $250,000 to $72 million and comprising more than 2.3 million square feet.
