Choice Program to Hold Open Houses

The Capitol Region Choice Program is holding open houses for parents and students interested in learning more about this program, which allows students currently attending Hartford public schools K-12 and residing in Hartford to attend school in a nearby suburban school district.  A total of six sessions are offered; parents/guardians need to attend only one session.

Two sessions will be held on Thursday, January 19 – from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Two sessions will be held on Tuesday, February 7 – from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

The final two sessions will be held on Thursday, March 2 – from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Capitol Region Choice Program is located at 34 Sequassen Street in Hartford.  To register for one of these free sessions, please call 860-524-4010.  The Capitol Region Choice Program is part of the state’s Open Choice program and is managed by the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) to serve students in Greater Hartford.  More information about the Choice program is available on the web at www.crec.org/choice.
