Program Overview:
CREC and Tychon Energy Systems, LLC have teamed up to offer school districts an energy program that will reduce energy costs. Highly qualified industry experts evaluate your building facilities, then develop and implement a plan to upgrade lighting fixtures that requires no additional capital.

CREC will:

• Act as a single point of contact
• Coordinate and monitor the project
• Evaluate the project results and reporting
  

Tychon will:

• Conduct an energy assessment at no cost
• Define scope of project and its financial benefits
• Install new energy-efficient lighting
  

No Additional Budget Dollars Required
Here’s why: The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund provides incentives that cut the project costs up to 50%. Next, the Fund’s 0% financing enables the monthly energy savings to cover your monthly project cost (based on current electricity rates). When the financing period ends in 30 months or less, your costs have been reduced, you start enjoying significant savings, and your lighting has been improved.

Initial Evaluation - No Risk to You
Tychon’s energy audit is free. Their highly qualified technicians will evaluate your lighting and use this data to make recommendations. If no cost savings can be offered, then we will recommend no further action. However, if the data shows that significant cost savings can be achieved, we will develop a plan that will illustrate your estimated savings (based on current electricity rates). This evaluation takes 1-3 hours per building. Report findings will be shared with CL&P to ensure that our recommendations are completely covered by the CL&P incentive.
