Our Vision

 


After decades of treating teachers and teaching as static variables in formulas for school reform, the latest evidence from research and practice points to effective teaching as the single most significant school-based factor affecting student success. At the same time, we understand that great teaching and leading are both grounded in strong, supportive, school-based communities of practice. Teaching, Learning and Leading aims to build instructional capacity at both the individual (teachers, leaders) level and the organizational (school) level.

Teaching, Learning, and Leading balances investment in the development and demonstration of instructional capacity at the individual level and the school level.

 

Performance-based Evaluation

The Teaching, Learning & Leading Pathway enables educators to advance through four tiers of a professional career ladder. The development of expertise begins with practice-based preparation and is supported throughout the career path with differentiated professional development. Performance-Based evaluation enables professionals to demonstrate expertise as a means of advancement as well as continuous improvement.
