• CREC received a $1,000 donation from the Delta - T Group in support of its middle school Interscholastic Athletic program. Proceeds from the donation will go towards purchasing athletic uniforms for students. • CREC's River Street School received a $5,000 check to support its educational programming, thanks to Tim & Jack Maloney and Shea’s Restaurant, who donated proceeds from this summer's Mike Maloney & Pete Landry Memorial Golf Tournament.

• CREC Magnet Schools received a $600 donation from an employee at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.
• CREC’s Community Education division received a $215,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
• The Center for Creative Youth received a $10,000 grant from the David T. Langrock Foundation and a $10,000 grant from the Kreitler Foundation.
• CREC’s International Magnet School for Global Citizenship (IMS) received a donation of three sets of new math books, valued at $160, from DonorsChoose.org.
• CREC’s Student Services division received a $49,822 grant from the Department of Public Health to institute tobacco use prevention programming.

• The Greater Hartford Academy for Math and Science received a $6,000 donation from Gerber Scientific Corporation to support its Robotics Team.
• The Community Education division received a $5,000 grant from Verizon Corporation awarded a to support its ESL Transition to Employment program.
• Soundbridge received a $1,000 donation from the Henkel Corporation to purchase assistive technology equipment.
• The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts received a $3,000 donation to support its arts programming.
• The Greater Hartford Academy for Mathematics and Science received a $3,500 donation to support its Explorations in Science program.
• The Community Education division received a $5,000 grant from the McCormick/Courant Community Fund to support its ESL-Transition to Employment Program.
CREC submitted 28 Interdistrict Cooperative grants to the Connecticut State Department of Education, for a total of $3.3 million of requested funding for schools and agencies within the CREC region. Grant proposals include support for programs such as:
