Dear Friends,

The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts has started another exciting year with a diverse body of over 500 new and returning students. Walking through the halls of the Academy, one can’t help but feel the excitement in the air as students prepare to enhance their talents and skills by taking advantage of high quality instruction provided by a dedicated faculty of professional artists and core academic teachers.

This year the Academy celebrates its 24th year of providing excellence in the arts to area high school students. Please join us in celebrating this achievement and reminiscing on the time you spent here as a student on Alumni Day, which will be held on January 8th. That evening we will hold our 3rd Annual Alumni Concert. Please consider sharing your talent with the new generation of students and Academy friends.

In celebrating two and a half decades of excellence in arts education, we plan to recognize an alum who has exhibited success in his/her chosen field. Therefore, we are calling for nominations for the Alumni of the Year Award which will be presented at this year’s Alumni Concert. If you would like to nominate a peer who has upheld the values of the Academy while developing a professional career in the arts, please contact me.

As the 25th anniversary of the Academy approaches, we continue to look for ways to keep you, your family, and your friends connected. We want to know what you have been up to since you graduated. By completing the contact form we can keep you informed of special events at the Academy and ways in which you can make a difference in the lives of young aspiring artists.
