The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts offers additional programming for students interested in the arts.

The Summer Arts Program invites students entering in grades 5-9 who are interested in Visual Arts, Theater, Dance, Creative Writing, Percussion and Voice to explore their creativity and enhance their skills.

The Saturday Arts Program invites students currently in grades 5-9 who are interested in Visual Arts, Theater, Tap Dancing, Creative Writing, Percussion and Voice to explore their creativity and enhance their skills.

The Summer Musical Theater Workshop is for students entering grades 8, 9, or 10 in September from any Greater Hartford school with a desire to develop his/her skills in musical theater.

The Center for Creative Youth at Wesleyan University is a 5-week pre-college summer arts intensive program of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in collaboration with Wesleyan University. Visit the Center for Creative Youth page.

The Center for Creative Youth at Cape Verde is a summer arts exchange program of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in collaboration with the government of Cape Verde, Africa. Since 2003, CREC has been working with officials from Cape Verde to establish a pre-college summer arts program similar to that of the Center for Creative Youth at Wesleyan  University.
