The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts offers other programs for students interested in the arts.

The Saturday Program serves middle school students with ethnic drumming, visual arts and beginning tap dance instruction.

The Summer Musical Theater Workshop is for students entering grades 8, 9, or 10 in September from any Greater Hartford school with a desire to develop his/her skills in musical theater.

The Center for Creative Youth at Cape Verde is a summer arts exchange program of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in collaboration with the government of Cape Verde, Africa. Since 2003, CREC has been working with officials from Cape Verde to establish a pre-college summer arts program similar to that of the Center
