Lili Aramli teaches biology at the Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science. The Connecticut native earned a bachelor of science in Molecular and Cell Biology and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Connecticut. She continued her academic career as a post-doctoral fellow at Yale University, studying Fragile X syndrome. Dr. Aramli began teaching eight years ago at the Math & Science Academy. Her hobbies are gardening, hiking, pottery, and collecting seashells and rocks with her children. |

Kristen Basiaga teaches physics and mathematics at GHAMAS. The Rocky Hill native has a B.W. in physics with minors in mathematics and Asian American studies from UCONN. She also has a masters degree in physics. She began her teaching career in 2008 in the graduate school at UCONN. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, running, Frisbee, reading, a good cup of coffee and cooking.

Dr. Michelle Bellinger teaches physics and engineering classes at GHAMAS. She enjoys watching her students make discoveries through experiments. The New Jersey native has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a M.S. in Mechanics and a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from Rutgers University. She began her teaching career at the university where she taught transmission and scanning electron microscopy, engineering statics and dynamics courses. After working for Spalding Sports Worldwide, designing new materials for golf balls and sports equipment, Dr. Bellinger returned to teaching. In her spare time, she likes to read, garden, sew, and visit new places. One day she plans to write a book. |

Duncan Meyers teaches mathematics at GHAMAS. After spending most of his youth in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Meyers earned BS, MS, and Ph.D degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He also earned an MBA from the University of Miami and later he earned a Certificate of Project Management from the University of California at Irvine that led to his certification as a Project Management Professional, PMP. He began his teaching career in 1986 at the University of Illinois in Chicago, but moved to technology and management positions in private industry. Looking to for a something more personally meaningful, Dr. Meyers returned to teaching. When he is able to find time away from GHAMAS, you might find him playing golf. |

Gregory Keith Shenk teaches biology at GHAMAS. The Kansas native has an associates degree in science from Vermillian Community College, a B.S. in wildlife biology from Kansas State University and a PhD in botany from the University of Connecticut where he worked on the pollination ecology of Lupinus perennis. He began teaching at GHAMAS seven years ago. His hobbies are hiking, bird watching, skiing and biking. |

Haia Spiegel teaches earth science, environmental science and astronomy at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering at GHAMAS. She was born in Poland but raised in Israel. She studied in Israel, South Carolina and the United Kingdom. Mrs. Spiegel has a B.A. in Education and Biology from Clemsen University, in addition to a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from the College of Architecture, Clemson University. In addition, she completed a post-graduate program in education and environmental science at East Anglia University in the UK.
At age 19, while still completing her studies, Mrs. Spiegel started teaching in Israel. After trying her hand in City and Regional Planning, she returned to her first love, teaching. In her spare time, you will find her gardening, cooking, taking photographs, playing with her grandchildren, hiking or traveling. She lives with her husband David, and has four children and four grandchildren. |
