What is the sibling policy?
- If a student currently enrolled at Two Rivers will be returning in the
fall as a 7th or 8th grader, a brother or sister entering 6th grade in the
fall is automatically eligible to attend Two Rivers. Parents/guardians must
still make application by the posted deadline on the application.
Applicants receive a letter from the Guidance Department confirming receipt
of application.

Are there uniforms?
- There are no uniforms required; however, there is a dress code that is
enforced. We expect students to dress comfortably and in a manner which
displays respect for self and others, thus projecting a professional
learning environment. Research indicates that students, who adhere to a
dress code or standard, feel better about themselves, view their school more
positively, have fewer behavior problems and perform better in school.
Students should be neat and well groomed. The dress code was thoughtfully
developed and may be revised from time to time. Please see our "Student
Handbook" to reference the dress code specifics in the "Resources" section
of this website.

What are transportation arrangements?
- Transportation is provided for all students who are residents in the
five partnering districts, East Hartford, Glastonbury, Hartford, Manchester
and South Windsor. Students accepted under the "Parent Choice" legislation
may have access to transportation through their home district.

Are there any direct costs to the families to attend Two Rivers?
- Two Rivers is a public school; therefore, there is no tuition charged. However, each student is issued a laptop computer which requires parents to pay an insurance fee to cover liability for loss and repair. There will be Parent Nights scheduled where parents will be informed of laptop use by the students, the liability of the parent, and how the insurance coverage is applied.
