What is the MarketPlace?
The CREC Cooperative Purchasing MarketPlace is an all-in-one solution for schools, towns, and non-profits, allowing searches on items to be compared to other like items from multiple suppliers in one search. You will no longer have to visit multiple vendor websites to find what you are looking for, at the best price. We've already done the work for you!
How Can a Vendor Be Added to the MarketPlace?
All of our vendors have been vetted through a competitive bidding process. Interested vendors can contact Cara Hart at chart@crec.org to be added to a vendor list to received bid notifications.
Who Can Order from the MarketPlace?
Schools, local governments and non-profits have full access to the MarketPlace, which allows you access to discounted pricing in a single, online location. Through a competitive bidding process, CREC has secured statewide and nationally discounted pricing based on the purchase power of schools and towns across the state.
Convenient Ordering
Staff time can be drastically reduced through the search capabilities. All of our competitively bid suppliers are now available all in the same location, with contact information and vendor terms build right in. Orders can be placed from multiple vendors, using PO's at the checkout page. The ability to improve workflow from teacher to administrator to vendor can help streamline the order process and eliminate the use of printed requisitions or PO's.
Will this Replace my Current Accounts with Vendors?
You can continue to purchase the way that you have been. However, this one-stop-shop will allow you to get the same discounts, just through a different portal, allowing you to truly compare and save. It will also give CREC the ability to track who's purchasing what, so we can continue to improve our bids.
