The National Competitive Events Program consisted of several competition categories, including health science events; health professions events; emergency preparedness events; leadership events; teamwork events; and recognition events. Two hundred and six students from Connecticut competed.

The HOSA chapter at the CREC Medical Professions and Teacher Preparation Academy was founded in 2013. CREC students participating in this year’s conference and competition were Wesia Malik; Kathryn Meyers; Bailee Nardi; Tahjana Lewis; Sarah Kavernos; Arielle Reyes; Vandan Patel; Samantha Sochan; and Makayla Murphy. Malik serves as treasurer of the Connecticut chapter.
