About Polaris Elementary Program (PEP)
Polaris Elementary Program (PEP) is for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. PEP provides diagnostic placement in a small setting that offers strong, social, emotional and behavioral support. Students are also given a multi-disciplinary evaluation.
The CREC John J. Allison, Jr. Polaris Center educational programs serve children and adolescents who struggle with learning disabilities and emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric issues. Polaris provides comprehensive treatment, offering quality educational and clinical programming for adolescents and their families throughout Connecticut. All Polaris programming is offered from a trauma-informed perspective as adapted from the Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC) framework. A variety of academies within Polaris have been developed to focus on the unique academic and clinical needs of our students, with a strict adherence to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
