The State Legislature passed legislation which ended the BEST Program on June 30, 2009. The TEAM Program will still feature mentoring as a critical component.  
 
The portfolio process has been replaced by five mentoring modules.  Mentors will support their new teachers through the 5 modules over a 2-year period. The modules will focus on classroom environment, planning, instruction, assessment for learning and professional responsibility. Each module is aligned with a domain of the updated Common Core of Teaching (CCT).
