CREC has recognized the need by its member districts for more cost effective out of district transportation with better trained drivers. CREC is addressing this need by initiating a special needs transportation service to begin operation in the 2008-2009 school year.

CREC will provide safe drivers that will also receive specialized training from our CREC professional staff to work specifically with the special needs of the students they are transporting. We will provide late model vans with all the necessary insurance. CREC will also provide all the administrative support and quality control for this transportation service.

CREC offers high quality out of district transportation at a lower cost. We are able to offer it at a lower cost by looking at transportation on a regional level and combining districts needs where possible.
