Soundbridge was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Harold and Rebecca H. Gross Foundation to purchase captioning equipment for their students.  Captioning equipment provide hearing impaired children with greater accessibility to current multimedia by converting the audio content of a television broadcast, webcast, film, video, CD-ROM, DVD, live event, or other productions into text and displaying the text on a screen or monitor.

Community Educations was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Pitney Bowes Foundation to support its Transition to Employment program.

The Center for Creative Youth was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Kreitler Foundation for its 2011 summer program.

The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Boston Foundation to support its programming.
