For more than 12 years, Emily has been providing professional development to 35 districts in the Hartford region and beyond on a wide variety of topics relating to integrating technology into education settings. From application software to web 2.0 tools, Emily works directly with educators to customize and expand their use of technology in the K-12 environment for increased student achievement and administrator productivity.
Emily also coordinates technical support, development and training for PowerSchool, CREC’s comprehensive student information system. Currently in the fourth year of implementation, CREC’s PowerSchool support team provides technical expertise for CREC magnet schools and to districts around the state in varying stages of migrating to PowerSchool.
Prior to working at CREC, Emily provided system support and development in corporate settings. Combining this experience with a passion for education, Emily completed a Masters degree in Educational Technology at the University of Hartford. Before being hired by CREC, she worked as a school technology coordinator and as an independent consultant exploring effective ways of integrating technology into a variety of educational settings.
