About Homebound Instruction for Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities

This program is for homebound instruction in hospital or home settings within the CREC region for students, three to 21 years old, who have multiple disabilities and/or medical needs.

  • Instruction is provided by an experienced special education teacher, specifically trained and knowledgeable of students with low-incidence disabilities (e.g., traumatic brain injury, ventilator dependent, multiple disabilities, and more)
  • Related services are available upon request including occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathology, and music therapy
  • Collaborative relationship developed with the district to implement current IEP, general education curriculum, and/or modifications to programming as required by student's needs
  • Educational evaluations are provided upon request to determine student's present level of performance (academic and/or functional performance). Proposed goals and objectives are then provided for educational planning
