Brian Greenleaf
Chief Financial Officer
Brian Greenleaf serves as CREC's chief financial officer.
Brian rejoined CREC in 2023, after working from 2012 to 2016 in the CREC Construction Services Division in various roles. During this time, he contributed to CREC's extensive portfolio of construction projects by providing financial analysis and support for grants and projects.
After his initial tenure at CREC, Brian became the director of finance and operations for the Ellington Public Schools. In that capacity, Brian and his team overhauled the district's back-office operations, undertaking several initiatives to enhance information transparency regarding budgeting and accounting practices. He led multiple successful campaigns to secure town voter support for various large capital projects. During his time in Ellington, the district maintained one of the lowest per-pupil expenditures in the state while achieving improvements in student performance.
Brian earned his Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Policy and Administration degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hamilton College.
He resides in West Hartford with his wife and two children.
