CREC Reminds Families of Upcoming Lottery Deadline
A majority of seats are available in entry level grades

(Hartford) – The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) would like to remind Hartford-area families that applications for the Regional School Choice lottery for the 2017-2018 academic year are due Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Parents who are interested in enrolling their child in a CREC magnet school or the Open Choice program must submit an application to Regional School Choice Office at www.choiceeducation.org by that date. Many seats are available in the entry level grades, including Pre-K3, kindergarten, and grade 6. Parents are encouraged to attend the following events:

Hartford Region Open Choice Pre-K and Kindergarten Fair
February 15, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Parker Memorial Center, 2621 Main Street in Hartford

Lottery Application Assistance
February 23, 2017, from 4 – 7 p.m.
CREC Trude Mero Family Resource Center, 444 Albany Avenue in Hartford
