CREC's Employee Assistance Program is a service that helps people in the field of education who are experiencing personal problems. It is a counseling and referral service which serves employees and their families who are experiencing individual or family difficulties. It is completely confidential.
Clients receive one to three counseling sessions conducted by highly qualified licensed psychologists and social workers. During these sessions some immediate problems may be resolved, and in the case of more complicated problems, some clients are referred to appropriate sources.
Local Boards of Education offer this service to their employees as a free benefit. They contract with CREC to provide:
• Short term evaluation, crisis intervention, counseling and referral
• Convenient locations and times
• Complete confidentiality for clients
• Outreach/orientation to all employees in all district locations
• Professional development for supervisors
• Awareness materials ® posters, employee wallet cards, wellness news.
Fees: Year I - $12 per enrolled employee (includes all orientations plus counseling); Year II - $1,000. Membership/maintenance fee and hourly fee for counseling (estimate usage at 3% - 5% of employees).
