Peg joined CREC in 1994 and has worked as an educational consultant and project coordinator. In her current role as Director of Special Services Support Team, she provides leadership to the Special Services Support Team and their various initiatives. She also continues to provide technical assistance and professional development to district staff on issues related to leadership, school change, special education, program and school evaluation and data driven decision making.
Peg has over twenty years of experience in education. She began her career as a Special Education teacher, then moved into administrative positions as a principal and Director of Pupil Services. She has worked for CREC for the past 10 years as an administrator in charge of a team of educational consultants and project managers who provide needed training and brokered services to the districts. In addition, Peg continues to provide technical assistance and professional development to districts. Her areas of expertise are leadership, program and school evaluation and data driven decision making, least restrictive environment and behavior issues. Peg has co-authored 2 books which are sold nationally: The Administrator’s Guide to Special Education and The Path to Positive Classroom Management. Peg has earned certification in special education, educational administration and a PhD in Leadership.
