Nicole Natale is an education specialist who is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) and assistive technology professional (ATP). Nicole specializes in providing assistive technology (AT) services for students with disabilities in order for them to communicate, as well as to gain access to the academic curriculum.
Nicole participated in a federally-funded assistantship to obtain specialized competencies in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) while attending Penn State University at the graduate level. This assistantship enables her to provide high-quality AAC assessment and intervention services to students with complex communication needs and/or significant disabilities. Nicole also received her ATP in order to provide AT services to students with high and low incidence disabilities to gain access to the academic curriculum.
Nicole has a wealth of experience working with students with disabilities as well as with training other professionals in a variety of topics regarding AT, including job-embedded technical assistance. She joined CREC in 2007.
