Literacy Services
Through training, coaching and modeling in the classroom, the literacy specialists work collaboratively with schools and districts to analyze data about student learning, in order to determine areas of focused professional development, as well as follow-up coaching and resource development to help close the achievement gaps. Professional development support may also include curriculum mapping, assessment development, differentiated instruction and research-based instructional strategies. Staff members also will assist teachers with how to prepare students for state assessments.
