The CREC Resource Group uses the Curriculum Unit Revision Infusing. Technology (CURIT) model. The CURIT model provides a process revising existing curricula to incorporate technology while aligning to standards and allowing for differentiation. The process is focused on producing classroom-ready units and lessons.
The CURIT process consists of four stages:
Stage 1: Introduction and Overview
Stage 2: Training and Coaching
Stage 3: Implementation, Documentation, and Observation
Stage 4: Reflection, Transition, and Support
CURIT training occurs throughout the school year. CREC Resource Group specialists will co-plan with small groups of teachers and provide in-class support during implementation.
The CURIT process leverages Schoology, a virtual learning environment for K-12 institutions that allows users to create, manage, and share academic content.
