There are over 5 million English language learners in public schools today, making up 10 percent of the total school population. This number is projected to grow in the coming years, and as educators, we need to be prepared. CREC offers a variety of services that can help students master the English language.

CREC provides comprehensive services both for adult learners, and for districts, to help build equitable, effective learning environments for a linguistically diverse population. Our expert consultants offer customized solutions that build educator capacity, enhance instructional practices, and improve outcomes for multilingual learners. We partner with schools to develop sustainable approaches that view linguistic diversity as an asset while supporting students in achieving their full academic potential.

CREC offers comprehensive support services for multilingual learner programs, including professional development, instructional coaching, program development and evaluation, curriculum alignment, policy guidance, administrator training, and specialized programming for diverse student populations.

Services for ELs/MLs with Learning Differences

CREC provides specialized professional development and support services for educators working with multilingual learners who have disabilities, including distinguishing between language acquisition and learning difficulties, developing appropriate interventions, and implementing specially designed instruction for dually-identified students.
