Through a partnership with Charter Oak State College, CREC provides an online five-course program of study designed for aspiring or practicing paraeducators interested in obtaining college credit.
Learning outcomes, based on the National Paraeducators Standards, include:
Upon completion of the five three-credit courses, participants will receive a certificate from Charter Oak State College and may apply these credits toward other programs, including associate's or bachelor's degrees.
A continuing education and professional development program that prepares education paraprofessionals for entry into the ever-expanding field of Education. This certificate program is specifically designed to refine your teaching skill sets as they relate to working with students in an educational setting and to enhance your opportunity for career advancement. This program of study is also appropriate for practicing paraprofessionals who would like to extend their knowledge while earning college credit.
