Since 1966, the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), working with and for its member districts, has developed a wide array of cost-effective and high-quality programs and services to meet the educational needs of children and adults in Greater Hartford.
This resource, available in paperback, e-book, and online course, is a collection of standards-aligned problems and solutions for grade levels 3-8. These math problems can be used in the classroom as a warm-up, a "Do Now" activity, a supplement for a class assignment, a station exercise, part of an assessment, or even as homework!
FlashFeedback allows users to record and track data from semi-formal observations. The iPhone/iPad or Web app provides observers with a quick and easy form to submit observation data. An administrator dashboard gives admins various analytic tools to view all of the submitted data.
The GPS Self-Assessment is an opportunity for schools to get feedback from staff and families on the quality of family-school partnerships. Through responses to a short set of research-aligned questions on the practices, perceptions and beliefs among staff and families within a school, the GPS system will reveal where a school falls along a continuum of family-school partnership "types", ranging from non-collaborative and ineffective, to high-functioning, dual-capacity and sustainable.
Catalyst Next Generation Science Curriculum is a Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) aligned curriculum for K-12, including Integrated Earth and Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the high school level.
The Common Core standards introduced greater complexity in math word problems than those taught in years past. Due to a lack of sample word problems to pull from, teachers are forced to spend the time creating their own bank of practice problems to use with their students. PBandMath provides an easy to use generator to create math word problems for classroom practice. Through our web app, teachers are able to generate hundreds of word problems aligned to the Common Cores. Teachers can build a bank of problems in minutes to create on the fly practice in the classroom, plan ahead by saving their bank, and printed their questions for small group or individual practice. Through our Projection Mode, teachers can display the word problems for whole class instruction.
The Blueprint is a training curriculum that provides a variety of products and services to help your organization maximize student educational benefits of their IEP. The program emphasizes aligning well- developed IEP goals and objectives to State Standards using specially designed instruction and collaboration to create individualized programs in the least restrictive environment.
