Intervention is based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). All staff receive training and daily oversight from supervisors who are certified through Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®) and who are thoroughly trained in behavioral intervention for children with autism. The curriculum follows a developmental progression using discrete trial and incidental teaching strategies, with a strong emphasis on the generalization of skills to group instruction in natural environments. Our integrated preschool, the Early Learning Center, provides opportunities for socialization and natural context training with typical peer role models for our younger students. The development of speech, language and social skills are primary components of our program, and a Speech, Language and Communication department that is staffed by personnel who are trained in principles of ABA and certified by the BACB.
