We are surrounded by technology and the products of science every day. Public policy decisions that affect every aspect of our lives are based on scientific evidence. And, of course, the immensely complex natural world that surrounds us illustrates infinite scientific concepts. CREC's Science products and services can help students become scientifically literate in an increasingly technologically and scientifically advanced world.
Since 2017, we have been working diligently with a consortium of educators from over 90 school districts to build a K-12 curriculum and online learning community aligned to the NGSS. Each of our K-12 courses is also housed in our online professional learning community, Catalyst Community. These continuous efforts to enhance student achievement in the science classroom have led to the development of equitable supports and resources aimed at reducing barriers and raising student engagement.
As part of the Energize Connecticut initiative, eesmarts is an energy efficiency and clean energy educational program designed to facilitate students' understanding of the science, math, and technology related to energy efficiency, clean energy sources, and electricity.
